This is a view of the house from Geyer Road. Vic and his wife saw the potential of renovating this piece of property into a show place.

Because of the house's age, the foundation sunk into the ground by about 2 inches. Thus, with new concrete, pavers, and a lot of hard work, the pitch of the front porch was slanted away from the house
EAST SIDE DURING RENOVATION
Drastic landscaping measures were accomplished with the idea of making the property a place to visit in Kirkwood.

Vic did not like a slopped back yard. As a result of this feeling, he rented a small bulldozer, had over 19 dump truck loads of fill dirt delivered and built a railroad tie retaining wall. If you think its easy to move 19 truck loads of dirt with a bobcat, try it. It may be fun at first but overall it is a lot of work.

RENOVATION
A three story house is not complete unless it has a fireplace for those cool winter evenings. Except for the fireplace foundation, Vic was required to contract out this undertaking. Vic sure had a great time making the garage. One problem was when he almost cut off his hand when cutting some of the beams.
